Original painted badges for all four
ballistic-missile nuclear submarines:
HMS Resolution
HMS Repulse
HMS Renown
HMS Revenge
I am looking for information about the artist who painted the following submarine badges for the Royal Navy's Resolution class ballistic-missile nuclear submarines, in the late 1960's. They were a part of the Polaris missile program.
These paintings are an original work of art. They are not re-prints or posters. They are each done on thick artist board measuring 33.75 cm high and 23 cm wide. Each painting is signed with the initials M.H. in the lower left corner.
They were found in a large envelope sent from Royal Navy Captain R.W. Garson. The envelope was not dated.
If anyone knows who the artist "M.H." is, or why these paintings were commissioned, I am just trying to learn a little more about the history and story behind them. If Captain R.W. Garson is still around, I would be happy to contact him to inquire about the paintings. Any contact info would be great!
Also, if anyone can help fill in the blanks regarding the history of these vessels (table below), that would also be appreciated.
Thank you!

Artist initials M.H.
The artist's initials M.H. appear on all four paintings. Does anyone know who M.H. was, and who these paintings were commissioned for?
